Orks are all about personality, and this special release is no different.
Long before JACK-O-KRUSHA GITZSAW donned his now-iconic Jack O’Lantern helmet, he was simply Krusha, a young Nobba with an insatiable appetite for destruction.
During a raid on a human settlement on Gitzkrag, Krusha stumbled upon an ancient human festival that intrigued him. The settlement was adorned with carved pumpkins, each face more menacing than the last, their hollow insides illuminated with candles. The sight of these glowing, grimacing faces struck a chord within the Ork Nobba. To him, the pumpkins looked a bit like Ork faces, but with an eerie glow that he found both terrifying and amusing.
So Krusha decided to carve a massive pumpkin he found in the settlement’s fields. With his chainsaw, he carved a traditional spooky look of the human festival. After hollowing out the inside, Krusha wore it as a helmet. To the humans, it was a horrifying sight: an Ork charging at them, roaring with laughter, his face replaced by a glowing pumpkin.
Donning a grimacing Jack O’Lantern helmet, this Ork is both a terror and a treat! But don’t be fooled by the pumpkin head; beneath it lurks the same old Orky cunning and thirst for carnage.
His newfound look earned him the name JACK-O-KRUSHA, and the GITZSAW was an homage to his favorite weapon, the chainsaw. The human festival, as he came to learn, was called Halloween. He didn’t quite grasp the entirety of human customs, but he knew one thing for sure: he loved the spooky atmosphere, and it was a perfect match for his destructive nature.
Back on Gitzkrag, JACK-O-KRUSHA’s new appearance quickly became legendary. Orks from all over wanted their own glowing helmets, but none could match the eerie brilliance of JACK-O-KRUSHA’s original. The tales of his raids, with the backdrop of the glowing helmet and the roaring chainsaw, soon became tales of legend, told by Ork Mekboys and Runtherds around the fires.
