Frequently Asked Questions

I’m completely new to the hobby. Can you help?

Absolutely. You don’t need to know what you’re looking for before you come in. Tell us what you’re interested in, who you’ll be playing with and roughly what you want to spend. We’ll help point you in the right direction without trying to overwhelm you.

Can I play games in-store?

Yep! We have dedicated gaming tables and regularly have people playing Warhammer, Kill Team, Magic, D&D, board games and plenty of other games. You’re welcome to come in and play.

Do you run events and game nights?

We do. We run regular game nights, organised events, tournaments and beginner-friendly sessions. Some need bookings while others are simply a matter of turning up. Check our Events page or Discord for what’s coming up.

Can I come in by myself?

Definitely. A big part of why The Dragon Hangar exists is to help people find others who enjoy the same hobbies. Plenty of people first come through the door on their own. If you’re looking for people to play with, have a chat with us or jump into our Discord.

Is The Dragon Hangar kid and family friendly?

Yes. We have games and hobbies for kids, teenagers, adults and families. If you’re trying to find something suitable for a particular age or experience level, just ask us.

What do you sell?

We stock Warhammer, Dungeons & Dragons, board games, Magic: The Gathering, model kits, Gundam, paints, hobby tools, dice, gaming accessories, toys and collectables. The range is always growing so there’s usually something new to find.

Do you sell hobby paints and supplies?

Yep. We carry paints, brushes, tools, basing materials and other hobby supplies from brands including Citadel, Vallejo, Tamiya, SMS and more. If you’re not sure what you need for a project, bring it in or show us a photo and we’ll help.

Can I order online?

Absolutely. You can shop online 24/7 and have your order shipped Australia-wide or choose Click & Collect if you’re local.

Do you offer an ADF discount?

Yes. As a veteran family-owned business we offer 10% off for current and former ADF members. Use ADF10 online or let us know when you’re shopping in-store.

Where is The Dragon Hangar?

You’ll find us at 64 Port Stephens Street, Raymond Terrace NSW. There’s on-street parking around the shop as well as all-day parking nearby.

What’s the best way to keep up with events and new releases?

Join our 24/7 gaming community Thirsty Dragons Discord or follow The Dragon Hangar on Facebook and Instagram. That’s where we post upcoming events, new releases, restocks and whatever else is happening around the Hangar.
